A veteran acrobat Sarah Guyard who was a performer at the Las Vegas Cirque du Soleil show Ka got killed last Saturday after a tragic fall. The sad news took flight and Cirque du Soleil shows were cancelled and the refund was given to all the future shows to the customers. The accident took place in the final part of the play where many performers were hung from the strings and a fight was taking place. Sarah slipped and fell down around 50 feet and left the world in the city's University Medical Center.
This incident is the first of it's kind in the history of Cirque du Soleil and all the fans and the team are really sad after hearing about this sad incident. Sarah was 31 years old and mother of two and has been an acrobat since last 22 years of her life, also she was part of Cirque du Soleil since 2006 and was the core member of the show since the start of it.
About the incident audience member Dan Mosqueda told the paper that Guyard-Guillot (nicknamed Sassoon), "Was being hoisted up the side of the stage and then just plummeted down, Initially, a lot of people in the audience thought it was part of the choreographed fight. But you could hear screaming, then groaning, and we could hear a female artist crying from the stage."
Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte told in an interview that he is heartbroken and his sympathies are with the family of Sarah who was integral part of the Cirque du Soleil family from a long time and was a good human being. These types of accidents aren't new to the world but they sure are tragic, may her Soul Rest In Peace!
